# Reset your password

> Forgot your Foryoueats password? Here's how to reset it, and what to do if the reset link takes you to your account instead.

If you've forgotten your password, you can set a new one in a couple of minutes.

> You can't reset your password while you're signed in to Foryoueats in the app or in a web browser on your device. If you are, the reset link takes you straight to your account instead of letting you choose a new password.

## Reset your password

**1. Request a reset link**

Go to [foryoueats.com/forgot-password](https://foryoueats.com/forgot-password), enter the email address you signed up with, and submit.

**2. Open the email**

Look for an email from **[support@foryoueats.com](mailto:support@foryoueats.com)** and click the reset link. The link works for **60 minutes**.

**3. Choose a new password**

Enter your new password, then sign in to the app with it.

## Troubleshooting

> **I didn't get the email**
>
> * Check your **spam** or **junk** folder.
> * Make sure you entered the same email address you signed up with.
> * Wait a minute before asking for another link. You can only request one reset email per minute.

> **The link says it's invalid or expired**
>
> Reset links expire after 60 minutes, and only the newest link works. Request a fresh link at [foryoueats.com/forgot-password](https://foryoueats.com/forgot-password) and use the most recent email.

> **I signed up with Google, Facebook, or Apple**
>
> You might not have a Foryoueats password at all. Sign in with the same **Continue with Google**, **Continue with Facebook**, or **Continue with Apple** button you used when you signed up.
>
