Tags let you label recipes with anything that’s meaningful to you — cuisine type, dietary preference, occasion, cooking method, or whatever helps you find what you’re looking for. You can add tags when creating a recipe or any time you edit one.

Add tags to a recipe

1

Open the recipe editor

Create a new recipe or open an existing one and tap Edit.
2

Find the Tags field

Scroll to the Tags section in the editor.
3

Add a tag

Search for an existing tag or type your own, then click Add. Your favorite tags also appear as quick-tap chips below the search field — click the + on any of them to add it instantly.
You can add up to 10 tags per recipe.

Filter your library by tag

In My Recipes, tap the filter icon in the top right corner to open the filter panel. Select a tag from the Tags dropdown and tap Apply. The active tag appears as a chip below the page title — tap the chip to deselect it and clear the filter. You can also clear it by opening the filter panel and tapping Clear.

Favorite tags

Favorite tags appear as ready-to-tap options when filtering your library and when editing a recipe — so the tags you use most are always one tap away instead of having to search for them. To set your favorite tags, go to Account Settings → Favorite Tags and add the ones you reach for most often.
