Foryoueats can import recipes from virtually any cooking website. Paste the URL, and the app scrapes the page and saves a permanent copy to your account — so you never lose a recipe if the original site goes down or changes.
1

Copy the recipe URL

Open the recipe page in your browser and copy the full URL from the address bar.
2

Open the import dialog

In Foryoueats, click Create Recipe and select Import from website URL.
3

Paste and import

Paste the URL into the field and click Import. Foryoueats fetches the recipe and structures it into your library within seconds.
4

Review and save

Check the imported recipe for accuracy, make any edits you want, then click Save.
You own your saved copy. Even if the original website removes the recipe or goes offline, your version stays in your account.

Import while browsing with the Chrome extension

The Foryoueats Chrome extension lets you save recipes with one click without leaving the page you’re on.
1

Install the extension

Install the Foryoueats extension from the Chrome Web Store.
2

Browse to a recipe

Navigate to any recipe page in Chrome.
3

Click the extension icon

Click the Foryoueats icon in your browser toolbar, then click Import Recipe. You’ll be taken to Foryoueats where you can verify and save the recipe.
Firefox and Safari extensions are coming soon. Until then, use the URL import method on those browsers.

Troubleshooting

Some websites block scrapers or structure their pages in unusual ways. Try copying the recipe text and using the Start From Scratch option instead, or take a screenshot and use Create From Image.
Use the recipe editor to clean up any formatting issues after import. Open the recipe page, tap the ellipsis icon in the top right, and select Edit.
