Why this happens
Foryoueats lets you sign in four ways: email and password, Google, Facebook, and Apple. Your account is identified by its email address. A second account is only created when the email behind your new sign-in method is different from the one you originally used. For example, if you signed up withyou@gmail.com and password, then later clicked Continue with Apple using a Hide My Email address, that’s a different email — so it creates a brand-new, empty account. Your recipes stay attached to the original account, so the new one looks empty and it feels like everything is gone.
If the email is the same, signing in a different way just finds your existing account — no duplicate is created. Duplicates only happen when the emails differ.

Sign out of the empty account
From the account that looks empty, sign out completely. This clears the way to try a different sign-in method.
Sign back in with your original method
Sign in again using the method you first signed up with. If you’re not sure which one it was, try each in turn:
Email and password
Sign in with your email address and password.
Continue with Google
Use your Google account.
Continue with Facebook
Use your Facebook account.
Continue with Apple
Use your Apple ID.
Check whether your recipes reappear
Once you’re signed in, look for your recipe library. If it’s there — you’ve found your original account. If you signed up with email and password, you can confirm that account exists by using Forgot password on the sign-in page: if a reset email arrives, that account is real and your recipes are waiting on it.
